Agile enablement of a small team of .NET Developers responsible for a 7 or 8 ongoing projects. They key challenges
were taking a small and comitted team, who through being isolated from the main organisation had developed behaviour
that allowed them to survive.
By introducing Agile Analysis coupled with Business Value prioritisatin we brought control back to the team, and at the same time allowed the many and varied customers greatly visibility of the delivery process
Over time we gradually introduced Continuous Integration, Test Driven Development, more rigorous Configuration Management, all of which added to an huge improvement in quality.
HBOS
Involved in 2 key pathfinders projects to look at how Agile could be used to deliver projects within HBOS. Our involvement
started with training teams in the Agile basics, followed by detailed coaching and mentoring, working with and as part of,
the teams as they began their agile journey.
Through the use of Agile Analysis and Planning the teams where able to obtain greater control of their projects. Close collaboration between business and it teams brought huge benefits and result in all teams wanting to work on agile projects going forward.
Each team was coached in the appropriate use of Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration to support their specific environment and architecture, along with the best of Pair Programming and Automated Testing using FitNesse and QTP.
BSkyB
The creation and implementation of an Agile Development and Delivery process to support a large scale CRM project.
Key challenges included slowly navigating a team towards more agile principles, that had been burnt previously with new
process and method implementations
As the team where heavily influenced by RUP, the entire development strategy was presented in a RUP like framework, showing how RUP phases, could easily be adapted to agile iterations, but instead of a final transition stage, each phase/iteration has a potentially releasable artefact as its utlimate output.
Along the way, we where required to solve problems involving continuous integration of Chordiant, Websphere and a whole host of other 3rd party products, and the selection of a range of tools that significantly reduced the upfront cost per developer of the current encumbant suite.
BT
Pathfinder product to introduce Automated Acceptance Testing to a number of BT technical areas. The work was to be
non-invasive on the selected teams and therefore autoamted UI driven tests where introducted including the use of Selenium
Watin, and QTP based tests driven by actual customer requirements and acceptance critieria.
FTSE 250 Online Gaming Company
Training, coaching and agile enablement of this organisations IT team. Through the progressive adoption of agile techniques as part of a major IT change program we could gradually seed the benefits into the teams as they transitioned from heavy weight waterfall team to a more coherent and flexible agile organisation.
The success of the agile adoption saw other, unrelated, teams within the organisation taking up Agile and releasing the benefits.

London Clearing House
Brought in to help recover 4 teams of a major change programme consisting of over 11 seperate delivery teams.
After bringing the teams and their deliverables under control we where moved into over responsibility for the delivery of the
software.
Agile techniques included iterative/incremental delivery and close customer collaboration where used to recover and re-use aspects of the overall solution.
In addition we worked with the HR and Training departments to put in place a cross training programme to allow many of the existing permanent staff to learn the new skills required to engaged with the development process.
