Pragmatic Agile

New to Agile ?, then try this overview of the key elements of Agile and Lean thinking

Pragmatic Agile is our take on the Agile movement, rather than focus on a specific process or methodology we present a none prescriptive
view of the best practices available in the Agile movement. While there are plenty of individuals and companies in the world today
who believe in a one size fits all when it comes to selecting and implementing Agile practises, there is a growing group of people who
believe the opposite and instead prefer to take the best aspects of each method, technique or processes and create a Process Toolbox.

The Process Space for many organisations has to cater for a wide and diverse group of business functions. An Agile project can be
one or even many aspects of a programme for change within an organisation, but rarely is it the the only aspect. More and more
organisations are looking at Prince 2 and its Programme Manangement process ( MSP ) to manage the end to end programme for delivery.
In other organisations they have invested heavily in Unified Process based toolsets, however these different types of processes both ultimately
result or benefit in iterative, incremental based software development, for which the Agile processes are ideally suited.

Further more not all organisations are at the same level of Agile adoption, some want to adopt Agile, some are adopting Agile, some have
started feeler projects, and some have a fully fledged Agile process running. For the first 3 types of organisation, early selection of
a specific Agile process can cause more problems than it solves, for the latter companies, constant review and improvement of their process
ensures it can meeting ever changing business needs.

Our Process Toolbox breaks down the adoption of Agile methods and processes into easily understood, easily digestible segments. Each segment
can be implemented on its own, thus allowing an organisation to grow into Agile, or just to solve a specific issue. In addition we provide
roadmaps that guide organisations through the selection and implementation of the various segments, some are compulsory such as iterations
or retrospectives while others are optional like pair programming; the choice however is down to the selecting organisation and the individuals
concerned
