Locations

We are based in the Yorkshire area, and use a variety of locations, including sites in Leeds, Bradford, Manchester, Sheffield and York, for training courses. Location is normally based on the number of people attending and the type of course required. However we have no issue in organising courses in different parts of the country as required.

Alternatively we can come to you, you provide the location and the facilities, we provide the trainer and the knowledge. This is useful when staff need to be either on site or close to their work or home for business or personal reasons.

Custom Courses/Training

In addition we can work with your team or training department to create a custom training programme specifically suited to your Agile needs. This could be a tailored version of the courses we already provide, suitable for your specific organisation or we can create custom, just for you, courses which you would then own and have the option of using yourself with or without magneticreason trainers/coaches.

Educational Roadmaps

Sometimes a single course is not enough, or magneticreason is just not able to provide the breadth of training that your organisation needs to move to Agile based delivey. In this instance we can work with you team or Training/HR department to create a custom training and education roadmap for your staff. In this instance we normally work with more formaltraining organisations who can provide a much wider curriculum on topics magneticreason would not conside themselves the expects in.

For example, magneticreason provided a complete educational roadmap for a major financial institute in the City of London. This organisations had a large contractor base of development staff on a major project, plus a number of permanent staff on projects that were coming to an end. These staff were mainly experienced C++ developers, while the new projects were mainly Java/J2EE. For this company magneticreason developed a 10 week training programme made up of a mix of formal training and solo projects that produced Java Certified developers with experience of J2EE, UML and Agile techniques. These staff where then slotted into the existing development teams, signficantly reducing ongoing staff costs and demonstrating excellent staff retention and re-training.
